AFTC Breeder Advertising Guidelines
Advertising will only be accepted from paid AFTC members in good
standing. If not listed in the current AFTC membership list, your membership
must be verified by the AFTC secretary.
All ads will begin on the first day of each month. Ads end on
the last day of the month automatically and will be removed from the Breeder
Referral page.
Ads must be received by the webmaster between the 5th and 15th day of the month before the month your ad is due to run. For example, send your ad between July 5-15 for the August listings. Email your ads to Diane Ryan with the Email Breeder Ad Form.
PayPal
is the preferred method of payment,
but you may also send your check to the AFTC Treasurer, Susan Hogan, 135 Weston Road, Plainfield,
CT 06374. When paying by check, it must clear before the 20th of the
month in order for your ad to be posted. The webmaster does not accept any
checks.
Breeders may only submit one ad per month. If you wish to renew, you must send in a new form with updated information for the next month. We do not take ads in advance of one month to keep all information current for our visitors.
What can be advertised?
upcoming litters with expected due date
available puppies with age, number and sex. Update this information with each ad.
young adult dogs and retired show dogs
grooming for pet/show and/or lessons
willingness to give information on the breed if contacted
stud service to approved bitches (list requirements)
Be aware that the guidelines for advertising will be periodically reviewed and changed as needed. To be successful, we need everyone's cooperation. A common criticism of breeder referral lists is that ads are not updated. Let's keep ours current.
